A cruising legend, the Formosa 51 is a true blue water voyager. This yacht has had three owners since she was built in 1984 and has been very well cared for throughout her life. She is a sloop rigged version for easy sailing she has in boom furling and an excellent center cockpit area. Her present owner supervised a complete refit in Singapore during 2005 which included and engine rebuild, new generator, new instruments and a host of other work. She now presents extremely well and is absolutely ready to set off on a world cruise. She is laid out with a large aft owners cabin reached through walkways on either side. Her airconditioned interior is rich, classic teak and is in great condition. A very large saloon area and well thought out galley provide a huge living space and there is an additional double berth forward. Two heads and a further 2 single bunks give you a boat that is comfortable for a larger family. The new tender lives on its davits aft along with two Yamaha outboards. She has loads of safety equipment including liferaft. An extensive inventory which includes an in boom furling system and being maintained by a full time crew make this a very attractive vessel.
