Isobar is an unmistakeable Sparkman and Stephens type 1962 design, redrawn by the Harlander brothers of San Francisco, and built by Choey Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong of Teak, Mahogany and Bronze. Originally built as a family yacht with very fast lines for ocean racing, she has a rich and varied history and has stayed in the same family until her recent refit. Having been well maintained throughout her life by owners who understood timber yachts, she required mainly cosmetic work to bring her up to the immaculate condition she now enjoys. A twelve month refit has given this classic yacht a very bright future! Everything on board was removed, repaired, rewired, repainted, rechromed or varnished and refitted with care. Isobar is just at home racing around the bouys or gracing a tropical sunset anchorage. Her interior is remarkably roomy for a yacht of this vintage with a useable aft cabin, good sized forepeak and a sunken saloon area with gimballed table. The galley and nav areas are well planned and have been designed for safe cruising. From the perfect bright work to the beautiful joinery and the myriad of small touches that show her class, Isobar will impress everyone who walks aboard.
