BKK11532NW - This Bookshop Chain has several branches in central Bangkok. With good marketing connections, double digit sales growth and great potential for expansion, this easy to manage operation would be perfect for an overseas investor who wished to acquire an ongoing success story in Thailand. Yearly gross sales for 2004 came in at over 7,600,000 baht, and the estimate for 2005 is for receipts of over 8,600,000 baht. From these figures there was a gross profit of approximately 2,000,000 baht posted in 2004, with estimates for this year of over 2,300,000 baht. Unfortunately the owner has another business that takes up a lot of his time, so he must reluctantly sell this one. Financial results are obviously increasing, and the owner states, as a rule of thumb, margins have always come in between 15% and 35%. The asking price is attractive, and has been set at two and a half times earnings; however there are also accounts receivable of 600,000 baht to take into consideration, as these will then go to the new owner’s account (this would then make the offer roughly two times earnings, based on 2005 estimates).
