| BKK11516G - This eight year old Toy Company is seeking a joint partner to inject 8,000,000 baht for 10% of the shares (even though the company is valued at 100,000,000 baht) for expansion purposes. The owner started the business after realising that there was a lack of educational toys in the market; she has gone on to head this three in one company whose products have won countless awards (over 300) and is widely regarded as supplying premium educational classic toys with a first class reputation. Three well known brand names are imported and distributed, all of which sell themselves due to parents being very knowledgeable of the product lines. A wide-ranging catalogue of merchandise caters to a range of children, from infants to age 12, and the company supplies developmental toys, dolls and washable felt products to pre-school children, along with several ranges of plastic, wooden and die cast products for older kids. Two extensive product ranges are world famous due to years of exposure from the two television series’ from which they originated. The company now has 17 outlets in prime locations throughout Bangkok and Phuket; these include four hospitals, and plans are afoot to expand to Chiang Mai, Udon Thani and Khon Kaen. There is a contract secured with a leading Duty Free chain and a store is already in place at the International Airport, with one planned for the new International Airport when it opens next year. Expansion will then spread to neighbouring countries, with Vietnam already targeted and Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos under consideration. The company gains excellent media exposure and is often mentioned on television and in leading newspapers and magazines. A very experienced management team is in place, and this includes members who previously worked at international airlines and hotel chains. The owner is passionate about her business and states that this is the one enterprise she has always wanted to run. When the financial crash of 1997 occurred she sensed the time was right, and her company has gone from strength to strength ever since, using progressive marketing, vision and by forging beneficial relationships with leading toy and licensing companies. Projections have been completed for the next five years, and these foresee gross revenues growing from 39,000,000 baht in 2005 to 190,000,000 baht in 2010, with profit margins rising from 8.3% to 21.1%.
