The Skookhum pilot house 53 resembles a small ship rather than a 53 foot motor sailor.



For those of you that dream of exploring the world in a commercially strong vessel primarily designed as an Alaskan fishing boat then this Skookhum is a must to inspect.



1,5 inches of solid glass lay under the water , a long keel and a displacement of 55 tones make her stiff in the wildest of weather . The sails are all furling and offer increased stability and a touch of boat speed.



This vessel has been set up for dive charter and has ample accommodation. The wheel house is integrated with the galley and saloon and the main aft cabin is set up with space and comfort in mind.



An enormous 7000 liter fuel capacity , 4500 liters of water , water maker, 2 gensets , dive compressors make her a self sufficient word cruiser. She is a well proven cruising motor sailor from the West Coast USA. A large wheelhouse provides protection in all weather and large deck space allows activities of all kinds. The engine room is huge and allows for excellent access for maintenance. A little care will see her back to her original glory.



This boat offers a perfect platform for long distance exploring, and would lend itself to being a comfortable live aboard boat.
