BKK1663YT - This Resort and Spa, on Koh Samui, has been established for 16 years, has around 70 rooms and is located on approximately five rai of land. There are 20 large air-conditioned rooms housed within a two storey building, and the rest of the accommodation is made up bungalows, the majority of which are also air-conditioned, but a dozen or so of which are cooled by fan. A large swimming pool forms the centrepiece of this beautiful enterprise, which sits right on the pristine sands of this lovely Southern island. There are lush tropical gardens, wooden terraces for al fresco dining and outdoor massage, and extensive use of bamboo furniture throughout, all lending to a luxurious, but back to nature feel. Thai traditional massage, performed indoors and out, is complemented by a full spa service (there are two spa rooms, a sauna and a Jacuzzi). Room rates vary from 800 baht per night to 1,500 baht per night, and there are two restaurants, one of which is air-conditioned, serving renowned Thai and international cuisine. Within easy reach of the airport and ferries, this resort has marvellous views and is set among gently swaying palm trees. Clients have the ultimate relaxation package here, but the famous nightlife of the island is only a short trip away, and transport is provided. There is a beachside pub, with an extensive cocktail list and satellite television for those who wish to linger on site. The current owner is reluctantly turning his back on this marvellous business as he has decided that it is time to retire. Annual revenues are coming in at 30 million baht, and profits of 8 million baht are being realised. Rental outlay is 150,000 baht per month, and the wage bill for the 40 or so staff is 200,000 baht per month. If all this wasn’t attractive enough, the property has a 20 year lease that has only just been renewed.
